The story behind the editorial photo is what makes it great or just average. Emotion and experience do more for a photo than lighting or technique.

While fashion photography tends to be cruel and unattainable, I think photos should be an authentic portrayal of beauty as a common denominator among all people.

Life provides all the color, composition, and humanity necessary to make a statement. Within portraits, I want to capture these elements as they happen, not manipulate them.
